Master of None【おすすめの海外ドラマ「マスターオブゼロ」】

Master of none is the best drama I’ve ever watched. I watch it over and over again. The set-up is a kind of niche though.

マスターオブゼロ(日本版タイトル)は今まで見た中で最高のドラマだ。好きすぎて何度も見た。設定がまたおもしろいんだな。

An Indian guy Aziz Ansari performs is an actor living in New York and enjoys his life there. He got some close friends of a lesbian black lady and an Asian nice guy. He is seeing an American funny girl, Rachel as well.

アジズ・アンサリ演じる、役者を目指すインド人がニューヨークでの生活を謳歌するというもの。レズの黒人やアジア人の友達やアメリカ人のガールフレンドも登場する。

Most of the stories come from his personal romantic, cultural, professional experience, which connected to me so much. I bet those stories attract not only me but many people because it’s described in a funny but realistic way.

話の大半はアンサリ自身の恋愛、文化、仕事上の経験からインスパイアされていて、すごく共感を呼ぶものばかり。僕だけじゃなくて多くの人の共感を得ると思う。すごくおもしろくてリアルだから。

Despite the difference of ethnicities or situations you grew up, I do believe you can feel some connection to it. And you can enjoy his taste of music in every story, which you must feel like “This is it!”

人種の違いや育った環境の違いはあるけど、見ている人みんなが「なんか分かる！」と思うと思う。さらに毎回違う音楽が使われるのだけれど、これがまたイイ！

Anyway, Not only is his personal perspective interesting, he is also a damn good storyteller. That’s why though set-up sounds like a niche, it won 3 Emmy awards and a golden globe.

とにかく、彼の価値観や物の見方がおもしろいだけでなく、ストーリーテラーとして素晴らしい人だと思う。だからこそ、マスターオブゼロは、設定は少しニッチだけど、3つのエミー賞とゴールデングローブ賞をとっているんだと思う。
